What to record
Record the whole travel, start to finish, and write down which way it goes. Reversing the file gives you the other direction, so one take covers a move into a section and a move out of one.
Two bars, plus a third you can cut. Where it ends is set by the bar it has to land on.
Write down the tempo, as for a riser. Where a transition lands is set by the bar and not by the file.
